point and clickvisuals team

The visuals team exist to support worship through the projection of text and graphics. Most services we project songs and some liturgical material, arrange the interface with our speakers' computers. Increasingly we also co-operate with our audio colleagues to deliver mixed audio visual material such as video and DVD. In total we can mix inputs from four computers (in various locations round the church) video, DVD, and a camera. We also provide a visual feed to our signing team who interpret at some services.

We actively encourage our preachers, and other members of the church to experiment with the use of vision as part of worship in all our services, and we are in an exciting phase of experimentation and development as we support the church in exploiting these new tools to open all our eyes to the wonder and love of God.

The brigade is a small and closely knit team, who normally work together in pairs to operate the vision mixing equipment and camera. Although previous technical experience of almost any sort is very welcome, we are much more interested in commitment, reliability, a big servant heart, and a willingness to learn: we are happy to provide training and great job satisfaction.
