how can i have hope?

Everywhere we look we see hopelessness. From global economic and environmental crisis to more personal issues of illness, suffering, worklessness, fear and guilt, it can be difficult to to see what there is to be hopeful about.

Yet hope lies at the centre of the Christian faith. Through Jesus' death on the cross and his resurrection, we can be reconciled with God and transformed into the person that we were created to be – fulfilling our God given purpose and potential.

Christian hope is not the same as optimism. Rather this hope is routed in an eternal perspective which believes by faith that even when everything around it is destroyed, there are still reasons to hope.

If you want to explore the hope that Jesus offers, then we at Highfield would be delighted to help you. If you want to explore this as part of a group, we run courses that can help you explore the Christian faith (Alpha, Being Sure, Reasonable Faith). You can also check out some web resources on this site and elsewhere on the Internet.
