This course aims to help people think through the grounds for Christian belief to see if it is reasonable and compelling. Each session tackles a topics, such as "how can a good God allow suffering?", "does life have a purpose?" and "is it all in the mind?"

Two 20 minute talks are each followed by 10 minutes of open discussion allowing participants to find answers at their own level of knowledge and understanding. Many Christians are ill-equipped to defend their faith against issues raised by the New Atheists (Dawkins, Hitchens & co), the doubts of agnostics or the beliefs of other religionists. A well thought-out faith, however, can be communicated to others and defended in discussion.

The course is suitable for Christians who want a firm foundation for what they believe and for non-Christians who want to see if Christian faith makes persuasive sense.

The next course will start on January 27 2013.
